CINCINNATI – Mount St. Joseph University has announced the appointment of Chris Powers, Ph.D., as its Vice President for Recruitment & Admission.

Powers brings a wealth of experience to the University. He has been a dedicated higher education professional for 20 years and served most recently as the Vice President of Enrollment for Thomas More University. Powers also held enrollment positions at the University of Cincinnati-Blue Ash, Miami University in Oxford, and Hanover College.

“We are thrilled to appoint Chris Powers as our new Vice President for Recruitment & Admission,” said Mount St. Joseph University President, Dr. H. James Williams. “His past accomplishments in enrollment and his proven leadership skills will have an immediate and positive impact on student recruitment and admission.”

Powers received his Doctorate degree in Educational Studies from the University of Cincinnati, Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville, and Bachelor of Arts in English from Berea College. He also served in the United States Air Force.

In his position at the University, Powers is responsible for the integration and management of recruitment and admission efforts. He will also be responsible for the development and implementation of annual and strategic recruiting plans, working collaboratively with other university departments.
